The processing of personal data

Data controller
Saya Food AB is responsible for personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) for the processing of personal data in the company.
When is personal data processed?
Saya Food AB processes your personal data when you:
- order our products or services
- sign up to participate in our events
- apply for vacant positions or register your interest in employment with us
- seek contact with us
- subscribe to our newsletter
- sign up for our loyalty program (bonus card/regular guest card)
Recorded data
When you contact us as a private individual or representative of a company, we register your name, address, telephone number and email address. We register the information that you choose to provide. If you provide sensitive information yourself, for example before an order or an event that you are allergic and want a certain diet, we assume that you want the information to be registered with us.
Purpose of the processing of personal data
The personal data that Saya Food AB registers in our systems is used for administration of the ordered product or service, sales, customer processing and supplier contacts. As a customer of Saya Food AB, you will automatically receive our newsletter, but you can always choose to unsubscribe from it. The data may also be used for marketing purposes and for follow-up and development of Saya Food AB's range and services.
When you apply for vacant positions, submit interest inquiries regarding employment or internship with us, participate in surveys or want to be contacted by us, we only use your personal data for the purpose for which you provided them.
Disclosure of personal data
For orders and notifications, the information recorded in our systems may be disclosed to third parties. That is, to persons or companies outside Saya Food AB, to the extent required to administer the service or to fulfill the order. This also applies when you apply for vacant positions, submit interest inquiries regarding employment with us, participate in surveys or want to be contacted by us.
In all the above-mentioned situations, Saya Food AB is the personal data controller and the suppliers that Saya Food AB uses are personal data processors. The data processors are obliged to follow Saya Food AB's instructions and are not entitled to disclose your personal data to anyone else or to use it for purposes other than those covered by Saya Food AB's instructions. The data processors are also required to take certain technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.
Finally, personal data may also be disclosed in the event that it is required by law, regulation or official decision.
How long is the data kept?
We keep your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill our commitment. This means providing the product or service, invoicing, handling complaints or claims, etc. If you have agreed to allow your contact details to remain in our customer register for marketing purposes even after the customer relationship has ended, they will remain until you wish the data to be deleted.
